Far too much micro managing the factions and happiness levels, which can't be done with any satisfaction, resulting in regular rebel attacks. Persistant islands are a good idea, but if there's issues on one you'll have double the problems of completing any future levels on that island.. 10/10 would promote child labor again.. https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/1808664240333155775. Unfortunately you have to play on the same islands multiple times. So if you have any problems on one of these island in a previous mission it is almost impossible to win during subsequent missions.. Buy Tropico 4 - more customization and better game mechanicsThere are some nice ideas in 5 but the excecution of the overall game play is♥♥♥♥♥♥poor and illogical too boot. You'll get quests that make people who approve of you 100% into rebels, you'll have to turn your island into a police/military state just to keep up with their "just for fun" attacks. Or just have them burn down random buildings - either way it's annoying without ever really being a serious problem. It's just like why? Why raise happiness high if you need baracks at every street just so the slow as snails troops arrive at the attacked farm/factory in time? Some say it's more challenging than 4 but honestly it's just as easy it's just railroading you more into the game style they want to you to play rather than doing it how you like to play the game. Stuff that was strange in 4 - like citiziens rather chosing a shack than walk 5 minutes to work from a free/super cheap appartment with high living standard is still there. Unless you have some people you desperately want to play multiplayer with, there is just no reason to buy 5.I'm honestly giving up on getting the achievements, because it's just no fun.
